Both art and sewing have been part of my life since I was young. While studying engineering in college, I continued to make art and took art courses, where I was first introduced to quilts as art. After a finishing Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, I decided to pursue art more seriously. For three years, I worked as an artist full time. Saturday we met my friends downtown at Mexico City. They had good salsa so I’ll say I liked it, but it was by no means excellent. Then we walked to the Three Rivers Arts Festival. I think it had been 12 years since I was last there. It’s pretty much exactly the same except there is construction going on at The Point. Sunday, June 29, 2008. On Sunday, I visited the Pittsburgh aviary, which has around 600 birds on display. The white-headed wattled lapwing. Three strange birds. :-). The female taveta golden weaver selects the male depending on the male's ability to build a nice nest. A sloth, demonstrating the climber's wisdom that hanging straight downwards costs the least energy. The bird is called "shrek", however I don't know its species. A blue-crowned pigeon, the largest kind of pigeons. A hyacinth macaw flying.
