Fay Hield is a lecturer in Music Management and Ethnomusicology at the University of Sheffield. Alongside her academic career, Fay records and performs folk music. Her recent project, The Full English, took inspiration from a newly created online archive and produced new music, earning the project nominations for 2 categories at the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and Fay a nomination for Folk Singer of the Year.
