Where creativity and life are inseparable. Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Who is C. Matthew Luther and why does he like Superfund sites? Path of Least Resistance. I interviewed C. Matthew Luther for JSOnline's Art City recently. He spends time in places around Wisconsin that have been so polluted that they are designated Superfund sites by the Environmental Protection Agency. The second, more hopeful surprise was the art. Mural, Grand River Avenue Creative Corridor. We weren’t there to see graffiti. Where creativity and life are inseparable. Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Saturday, December 27, 2014. Art at MASS MoCA: Size matters. I knew little about the place before we drove into the parking lot on a dreary, wet December day. I had read that it specialized in contemporary art and it was big. I had no idea how big. I soon learned that “enormous” could describe without hyperbole much of MASS MoCA. This site specific installation called Sfumato (Epic). Is made up of over 40,000 small chunks of graphite that ...
Arts Without Borders: Winter Carnival animates the Lynden Sculpture Garden

Where creativity and life are inseparable. Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Winter Carnival animates the Lynden Sculpture Garden. Giggles, belly laughs and expressions of amazement emanated from the gigantic, colorful inflated sculpture. Powered by a dozen delighted people hidden inside, the bulbous, floppy form lurched around the snowy grounds of the Lynden Sculpture Garden. Here is a photographic tour of some of the festivities and participants. Under the direction of Lynden volunteer...

Urban Wilderness: February 2015
http://urbanwilderness-eddee.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Art, Artifice and Nature at Starved Rock State Park. It's been over a year since my last visit, but this was my fourth trip to Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. As I've said in previous posts. Due to its proximity to Chicago, as well as the spectacular scenery, Starved Rock is one of the busiest parks in the country. It can receive 4 million visitors in a year. In January the two primary draws are eagles and ice. But what draws me to return so often?

Urban Wilderness: An urban hike along Milwaukee's lakefront with Brew City Safari
http://urbanwilderness-eddee.blogspot.com/2015/08/an-urban-hike-along-milwaukees.html
Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. An urban hike along Milwaukee's lakefront with Brew City Safari. Was founded by Christian Matson-Alvirez three years ago. I love its tag line: "Explore. Imagine. Get lost." Its mission- to take people on hikes in Milwaukee- appears simple at first blush. Advertise a time, location and route and the people who show up take a hike. There is usually one per month. Here are a few photos from our hike. But we discovered Leif the Discoverer there as well. As...

Eddee Daniel Fine Art. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Ruby and the Tree: Growing with 3 Bridges Park. The coincidence of these seemingly unrelated events has become intertwined for the young couple who saw in them new beginnings not only for their family but also for the community at large. Moved by the symbolism of new life and growth, they began what they intend to be an annual ritual. They agreed to let me accompany them and to share their story. 26E Lorong HOW SUN SINGAPORE 536537. Poetry from the Participants. This is an anthology of the poetry written by the workshop participants in December 2005. Must my mask be lifted to confront myself. It's my mold yet it doesn't seem to fit. Quit playing salmon and catch the surf for once. Superficial peace has you in pieces. My crumbs are telling on me. Could this be me? It fits like oreos in milk. Trippy shudders of hallucination in my core. Pearl, your words reflect my thoughts. I held and I pushed.
