Retirement should be good for my art right? Sohere's to more blogging and sharing with my online art friends. Monday was sadly the last day of the Athen's Art Group for the season. Friday, March 19, 2010. Getting "in the groove". Now that winter is past, I seem to have some mojo back. Its a relief really. I was actually getting scared that I'd lost it. So what I've mostly done is just a few quick and fun projects, but its helped. These were for an ATC swap titled eVil Cute. Morbid huh? They were fun to make. Friday, March 19, 2010. Getting "in the groove". Now that winter is past, I seem to have some mojo back. Its a relief really. I was actually getting scared that I'd lost it. Thursday, September 10, 2009. My moley is home! My first traveling moleskin journal book has arrived safely home. And I must say, its absolutely, stunningly, gorgeous in hand. It feels so incredibly special to me. I sure hope that all the artists that contributed to it realize that. The artists in the group were. 1) my entry pages. Notice that I have put in some fibers with danglies to make a permanent bookmark in the spine of the book. I don't want to lose my place! This is the book opened all the way up. Here is the spine, done with a pamphlet stitch. The handles are made from recycled chicken feed bags. One is in the front and another is in the back. Now, off to add memories to my little treasure! OFF THE WALL - Art by Cat Insley. Wednesday, January 16, 2008. First Clue on the Path to Finding My Style. So I'm watching this documentary about Chuck Close, whom I enjoy immensely. And he says something that smacks me upside the head. When I get the exact quote off the tivo, I'll edit this. But it's something to the effect that, out of 8 or 9 photos that he takes of his subject, he knows the right photo to use for his painting when he sees it. He just "knows". I did two little ATC's today. Tomorrow...

Sunday, December 6, 2009. The three L’s: Life, Love and Letting Go. In January, Hannah tore a cruciate ligament on her left knee and had to have that knee repaired. After the surgery it took some time to recover. It was a struggle, but she was a trooper, never complained and her knee healed nicely and was in good working order. I asked my vet come out and evaluate the situation. We decided to try a steroid treatment to see if we could get her joints to work again, if at least for a little time longer...

I left my sewing room door open yesterday when I went to do something in the other part of the house. I know better than to do that!
