Art with Mrs. Kim : Penguins on Parade by Pre-K
http://artwithmrskim.blogspot.com/2017/01/penguins-on-parade-by-pre-k.html
Art with Mrs. Kim. THiNK like an ARTiST! Friday, January 13, 2017. Penguins on Parade by Pre-K. This is a fun winter themed lesson I completed with my Pre-K students - I found the inspiration at Deep Space Sparkle. And decided to simplify it a bit. Our ingredients for the penguin project included pieces of bleeding tissue paper, watercolor paper, construction paper and fun googly eyes. Thank you for leaving your comments! Art with Mrs. Kim. THiNK like an ARTiST! Friday, November 25, 2016. 2nd grade Shadow Leaves. This lesson was inspired by a post from Rachel and her blog, Color and Collage. The shadows are such a clever addition to the composition and the kids thought it was a brilliant touch too. Thank you for leaving your comments! They are greatly appreciated! Art with Mrs. Kim. THiNK like an ARTiST! Monday, November 28, 2016. Here is the last autumnal project of the year to post - created by my 5th graders over a three-week span of time. One class had some interruptions due to field trips, so instead of pumpkins, we'll create winter birch trees to glue onto the landscapes! Thank you for leaving your comments! Art with Mrs. Kim : Autumnal Leaves by Kindergarten
http://artwithmrskim.blogspot.com/2016/11/autumnal-leaves-by-kindergarten.html
Art with Mrs. Kim. THiNK like an ARTiST! Friday, November 25, 2016. Autumnal Leaves by Kindergarten. What a beautiful and sophisticated combination of drawing, painting and collage - all achieved by my favorite people to teach - the Kindergartners! I gave the kids magenta, orange and yellow tempera cakes and allowed them to paint freely after a quick demonstration on proper brush care and painting etiquette. I allowed them to use the gold to their heart's content :). Thank you for leaving your comments!

Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lessons. Art Room Bulletin Board Ideas. Mini Murals Summer School Project. Art Journal Ideas and Drawings. Monday, July 6, 2015. Been very busy wrapping up the school year, packing up my classroom and teaching a couple of days of summer school. Before I knew it, we were hitting the road on our family summer vacation to Washington state. On May 30th I participated in a 10K at my school. It was a brisk morning, but once the race began I warmed up quite a bit. Art With Mr. E.

Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lessons. Art Room Bulletin Board Ideas. Mini Murals Summer School Project. Art Journal Ideas and Drawings. Art Room Bulletin Board Ideas. I currently only have three bulletin boards to worry about at my school. I am sad to say, however, between all the cutting, pasting, curriculum writing, teaching, drips of paint, communicating with parents, squishing of clay, project drying, and overall art making my bulletin boards are one of my more stressful tasks. On June 29th, I packed up the last box in the art room. It was a funny feeling to say goodbye to a class room that I had for 8 years. Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lessons. Art Room Bulletin Board Ideas. Mini Murals Summer School Project. Art Journal Ideas and Drawings. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. The packing continues for the old elementary art classroom. I knew that I had a ton of supplies and materials to pack, but as I continue to open cabinet door after cabinet door, I am beginning to realize that I really didn't quite comprehend the amount of treasures my art room was actually storing. Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lessons. Art Room Bulletin Board Ideas. Mini Murals Summer School Project. Art Journal Ideas and Drawings. Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lessons. Every year I begin my classes with a Substitute Masterpiece Zone Lesson. This is an art lesson that I begin with the students on the first day and then tuck it away. The only time the lesson is pulled out is when there is a substitute teacher. I have had a lot of positive feedback on this idea. Create a horizon line in the composition.
