Early Morning Musings: February 2010
http://earlymorningmusings.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. If your goal is to clean up after yourself right away instead of leaving a mess for later, but you find yourself slinking off to indulge in some reading after supper instead of first doing the dishes, make sure you're slinking off to a Charlotte Mason book. About forming habits. She'll prick you right back to those dishes before the food has time to harden on the plates. Labels: Forming Habits: Orderliness. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. My daughter's budding fashion sense.

The Intentional Life: November 2010
http://livelifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Bragging on my Handyman. Have I mentioned how talented my Handyman is? He can do just about anything with his hands. His boss asked him build a front desk for a new business he's opening. This is what he came up with. Can you believe he made this? Stunning, isn't it? He really enjoyed doing the project. He'd love to design and make furniture for a living. Maybe some day. Here are a couple more shots. I think he could sell something like this, don't you? Monday, November 1, 2010.

Early Morning Musings: To Kill a Mockingbird
http://earlymorningmusings.blogspot.com/2010/06/to-kill-mockingbird.html
Monday, June 7, 2010. To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm pretty sure my five year old boy thinks the book. I was reading aloud to his daddy was about different ways to slaughter birds, but it's actually a warm, human, touching story that I fell in love with all over again when I read it as the last of my three-book reading spree, and then again to My Hero because he'd never read it. One of my favorite stories. And youre right. Atticus is the very best sort of father. I should read it again. Sand in the Gears.

Early Morning Musings: October 2010
http://earlymorningmusings.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 28, 2010. Sometimes life seems simple and spacious, and I begin a project to fill my leisure hours. Like at the beginning of fall, when summer's crazyness is winding down, and my mind wanders ahead to the dark quiet evenings of winter, and the cozy, restful kind of work that can fill the two hours between the kids' bedtime and my own. This fall I taught myself to knit. Inspired by Amanda Soule at Soulemama. Saturday, October 16, 2010. Gifts I've found on vacation in Illinois. 310 Experi...

Early Morning Musings: April 2010
http://earlymorningmusings.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. In this case, the packages contained books, the very best thing a package could hold. Books piling up in a stack on my bedroom floor. That stack of books is the gate to the world of First Grade. Part of me wants to haul Christopher Robin into my lap today and begin reading the first chapter of The Story of the World. And give him his All About Spelling. I bought some books for Peanut Butter, too. His very own handwriting book. For Christopher Robin I have A Beka math. And other bo...

The Intentional Life: September 2010
http://livelifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. I very nearly had to call 911 today. I suppose it was just the first of many close calls I will face in the world of parenthood. Thankfully, no harm was done, and all is well. By this time Sweet Pea had decided she really didn't want to spend the rest of her life alone in the bathroom, and was starting to whimper to come out. I got off the phone with my Handyman and continued to cheerfully ask her to turn the little lever. I have no idea if she had a clue what I was t...What ...

The Intentional Life: July 2010
http://livelifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 9, 2010. My Handyman and I are preparing for a 20 hour drive to visit my family in Maine in a couple of weeks! We're so excited to spend time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins! I'm sure Sweet Pea would be really excited too, if only she knew what is in store! On a car ride across the country. So I decided to make a neck support/travel pillow for her. I found the inspiration on the Make It and Love It blog here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This blog is intended as a reminder to my...
