a runner's grace: Race Day Checklist + Other Prep
http://www.arunnersgrace.com/2014/11/race-day-checklist-other-prep.html
Race Day Checklist Other Prep. And isn't it just like our God to put dreams and hopes in our heart that only He can accomplish? I know that I would never be able to run this on my own. It is He who started this dream and He who will finish this work through me. What a great reminder this image is. to breathe and let God work in our lives. It is on us to distinguish God's voice and to set that apart from the negative voices in our head. Here is what is on my packing list. And I am planning on eating oatme...

What's Currently Going on and Some Pictures. Lots of things happening over here and I'll do my best not to ramble, but no promises. 1 My 20 miles on Monday. I am also about to head out to buy Epsom Salt. And I am currently researching the "Sports Legs". Supplement. Any of you take that? 2 Tapering. my new favorite word. I am currently 16 days out from race day, which means tapering. There are lots of great articles on this. like this one. 3 Have you entered into the Momentum Jewelry giveaway. 4 All 'bout...

http://www.arunnersgrace.com/2014/11/revel-canyon-city-marathon-recap-pt-2.html
Revel Canyon City Marathon Recap pt. 2. And I'm back, four days later with the second part of my recap. I just wanted to give a few more details since this was the very first ever. Revel Canyon City race and I know there are many out there thinking they would do this race in the future, so I want to encourage you to do it! We started at 5,748 feet of elevation and ended at 614 ft, which is a total net of -5,134 feet for the full marathon. Which basically is crazy. You can recover later. ;). The uphills l...

Today's Workout Coffee Jesus. Good morning West Coast. If you're further east, you've probably already started your day and have lunch in an hour or two, but out here things are just getting started. Front incline dumbbell raise. Cable seated lateral raise. Seated bent-over rear delt. 3 sets of 10 reps with 45sec to 1min of rest in between. It's about 60 this morning, but is supposed to warm up to 75, so I'd say it's the perfect running weather! But first. Coffee. Thank you, T.J. Maxx. Let me understand ...

Thursday Ramblings A Mile A Day Update! Today I'm just going to ramble. I hope you're okay with that. I'm also asking questions. So feel free to be interactive and leave comments below! I've set a goal for myself to run 3 times per week. It seems relatively simple until you wake up at 5:45 am and realize the bed feels a lot more inviting than a run. Confession. I am not a morning person. at all. It is hard for me to wake up and get going and I used. To talk myself out of my runs. Not anymore! Speaking of...

Ash's Right Direction: April 2015
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Waddle Wednesday - 20 weeks. Morning all :) Our appointment went great yesterday. The baby looks healthy. Everything is where it should be and they did not see anything to be concerned about. Overall it was a great appointment. Eek I saw 199 lbs on the scale yesterday at the doctor. Not very happy about this. That is a 7 lb gain in three weeks. I really need to buckle down on my eating before I get to where I was with Mason. Nothing to report. nothing new at least. Fun and/or Interesting Things from the ...
Ash's Right Direction: Mother's Day Recap - Photo Overload
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2014/05/mothers-day-recap-photo-overload.html
Mother's Day Recap - Photo Overload. It is a beautiful Monday here in Upstate NY, the birds are chirping, the sun is out, and we slept with our windows open for the second night in a row. I want to recap my Mother's Day because I feel like the luckiest girl in the world today. Yesterday was perfect! I know every mom should be saying that, but I am so grateful to be a mom to my lil guy). This big race is coming up fast! I need to get a few more long runs in before the big event. When I got home from the r...
Ash's Right Direction: Weekend Recap
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015/05/weekend-recap.html
Our weekends in the summer start on Friday because Tim has three day weekends April through December. we love his new job :). On Friday, we had to meet our realtor to sign some papers in the morning. Then Mason had a dentist appointment. Before we left I felt kind of off. I told Tim I felt nauseous and just continued with our day. Mason had to play with the neighbor's dog before we left. Saturday I took off from work to get some stuff done and there were things going on I wanted to do. Saturday night Tim...
Ash's Right Direction: Gender Reveal Party {Photo Overload}
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015/05/gender-reveal-party-photo-overload.html
Gender Reveal Party {Photo Overload}. I am so happy that the nice weather is here. We ended up having our reveal party in our garage and outside. I got out of work at noon and the party started at 2. There was minimal set up and we were ready in time. I made the invitation a few weeks ago and decided to keep with that theme for the treats at the party as well as some other goodies. These were delicious but took a while to make. I am a big fan white chocolate covered pretzels. May 2, 2015 at 2:11pm PDT.
Ash's Right Direction: 5 on Friday
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015/05/5-on-friday.html
I offered him his sunglasses and he was fine after that. He is weird with the sunglasses - he wants them at times and then other times he wants nothing to do with them. Yesterday was our wedding anniversary. I got Tim a case of Spotted Cow Beer from Wisconsin. A friend at work got it for me - her parents went out to see her brother and brought it back. Tim likes craft beers so I decided why not give it a shot, what guy is going to say no to beer? What are your plans for Mother's Day? Friday, May 08, 2015.
Ash's Right Direction: My Not So Little Boy
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015/05/my-not-so-little-boy.html
My Not So Little Boy. I was looking at some of the photos that were taken on Saturday and I am in denial at how big my baby looks. He was running around and having fun with the other kids and it was kind of sad. He used to be this little being that could not get around without us and was stuck in a walker or where ever we put him. He is now the king of watering flowers. He loves his watering can and wants to water all of the planters even if they just have dirt in them. Notice the seat belt? Get Mason do...

Waddle Wednesday - 21 weeks - Maternity Photos. This week's edition of Waddle Wednesday has some maternity photos we took on Saturday. I am just waiting for the Shutterfly email this weekend offering 101 free prints for Mother's Day :). Have not stepped on the scale since my doctor's appointment and I don't plan on stepping on the scale. I have started tracking my food to make sure I do not go completely crazy with my eating and stay close to my calorie goal. Walking and some squats. I bought a couple on...
Ash's Right Direction: Five on Friday
http://www.ashsrightdirection.com/2015/05/five-on-friday.html
Time Hop showed me this photo the other day. Mason loves to help in the kitchen, but his step stool is not tall enough for him to really help. I asked Tim if he could make one of these. I have seen them before but they are over $100. I am sure we could make one much cheaper. I was a cute kid right? Marriage story of the month! Well after pushing me and telling me it would be fine, I finally said to ask her. I was super nervous, I do not meet a lot of new people so I did not know what to expect. My 2016 R...

A Runners High
Monday, February 21, 2011. So we've been running straight now for 2 weeks. It's been a little harder to get going this year than it was last year but hopefully when it starts warming up for good then the more steady the group will be. It's SO easy for me to get discouraged and want give an excuse why I don't feel like running on any particular day, but I know that if I just get out there and make the effort, the LORD alone will give me the strength I need to do it. I was out for 5 months. As long as she ...

Those days where anything seems possible so you ask your self “why not? So why not run a full marathon? I guess you could say we didn’t have an answer. Courage, we had a lot of that. Some days a lot less then the day before and each other, partners in crime, mother and daughter. What could go wrong? 8221; questions and challenge each other.
