Welcome to the Bay. March 21, 2015. March 21, 2015. Stronger than the Elements. Exactly a week ago I hopped into a “moist” van filled with students I had either never met, or only met once. Fourteen strangers set off on a week long adventure that I don’t think any of us were fully prepared for. We expected cold, hard work, and dirt, yes, but not. Dirty Least of all, I don’t think any of us could have prepared ourselves for the things we learned about each other, ourselves, and the bonds we now share.

Chesapeake Bay-ASB 2011
Monday, March 28, 2011. It is remarkable how close ten strangers can become over the course of eight days. Our last few nights together were spent talking late into the evening at our very last campfire and doing the last few bonding activities that Caroline and I had planned. Blogging was not at the top of our priority list. At the end of the day, we all agreed that watching a multi-acre open field turn into an amateur forest within hours was truly amazing.
