There are no auditions, but those interested in joining the band are invited to play in a rehearsal as a rehearsal guest and add their name to our applicant pool for review when an opening occurs in a section. The Austin Symphonic Band supports other Austin arts organizations such as KMFA FM89.5 by providing volunteer call takers during KMFA's periodic membership drives. The ASB - KMFA relationship goes back to the annual KMFA Record Sales where ASB Performed live and staffed the sale.
