Now retired after 35 years working, I am enjoying the simple life in northern New Brunswick with Paul. I think my Newfoundland blood brought me back to the ocean. I love to watch the chickadees at our feeders and walk the beach looking for treasures. We have become snowbirds for winter. View my complete profile. New Brunswick, Canada.

Friday My Town Shoot Out: In The Limelight
http://mytownshootout.blogspot.com/2010/12/in-limelight.html
Friday My Town Shoot Out Links. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. This month our guest interview is with Elaine Dale. You can visit her at A Scattering. When did the photo bug bite you? I think I was about 8 years old. My Dad inherited a 35mm camera from my uncle and it was the first time I’d seen such a complex looking camera and such crisp photos. I was totally intrigued. I didn’t get to use it but it put the idea of having a camera of my own became a goal. Have you ever taken any photography courses?

The Paddock: June 2015
http://paulinespaddock.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. The new cow track is really taking shape. I've named it the Super Highway as it looks so much grander than the other cow paths but it won't stay so pristine for long. Was right when he commented that the cows won't walk any faster but when there's 400 of them moving from cowshed to paddock, they need to be able to walk more than 2 abreast or they really would be strung out like Brown's cows. He tried to ignore me, doing his best regal pose. But he wanted to talk too badly:. My teen...

The Paddock: The far side

Sunday, July 12, 2015. I've finally discovered which road takes you closest to that part of the mountain. We didn't stop for a close up photo. Next time. Looking south down river:. We were headed for Opononi and Rawene but stopped by the entrance to the Tane Mahuta track in the Waipoua Forest to have our picnic lunch. (It was still pretty chilly in the shade in the forest.) Tane Mahuta is a kauri. July 12, 2015 at 6:22 PM. Good composition in the first shot but I enjoyed the second more. Dont know why.

littleorangeguy: The Life Of A Tree
http://littleorangeguy.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-life-of-tree.html
What's happening in sara and kelly's neck of the woods, in the upper outer beach. Sunday, March 23, 2014. The Life Of A Tree. In 2002, Kelly and I bought an old house in Toronto's east end. A 72 year old house, in fact, and along with it came a 72 year old silver maple, which dominated our backyard. About the worst I could say about the tree is that, between its shade and the large numbers of squirrels who lived in its 100 foot branches, it wasn't that good for our tomato crop. Hermit Thrush , House Finc...

The Paddock: Opononi

Monday, July 13, 2015. Although Opo the dolphin became famous throughout New Zealand long before I arrived in the country, I couldn't live in the north and not know the story of how, in the mid. Who according to legend was a great chief of Hawaiki. Who arrived in New Zealand in 925 AD). Her death was reported nationwide, and she was buried with full Māori honours in a special plot next to the War Memorial Hall, just to the left of her statue. It's just to the right of the shot below:. We took a drive up ...
