After spending 3 weeks learning how to use Propellerhead's Reason digital audio workstation software, I took advantage of a contest sponsored by Novation to practice using what I'd learned. My purchases of new music-making tools in 1993 had drastically changed the sound of the songs I recorded afterwards to the point that I wondered whether I could even make the same type of music I once had.
