There was an error in this gadget. Thursday, December 8, 2016. WEEK 15: Dec 5th-9th 2016. I can't say enough about how hard the students worked on the Key Stage One Production. The Year Two's were all great models for the year ones and always helped out each other. The students made up all the moves for the songs on their own as well. We chose them together in a singing practice. We all enjoyed a nice final day together with sharing our Inquiry learning Journals in the morning and a fun party together.

The week we have gotten a start on our curriculum and getting to know the different subjects we will be learning about. I'm glad to see I have many students who are very interested in books and reading. Whenever they have a spare moment I can find them looking through our class library or reading books in the Reading Corner. This is part of our introduction to our "Health and Well-being" Unit of Inquiry.

Monday, 9 January 2017. Happy New Year and welcome back to a new term and a new year at Ascot International School! The past term was a busy one for our students. Throughout the term the students participated in a variety of activities such as, House Colours Day, Book Week and Clive PiG's visit, Performance Exchange Workshop, KPIS Spelling Bee, U9 TISAC football games, field trips, learning journey conferences. Friday, January 13, 2017. Weekly review and preview. This week we continued to look at features of non-fiction books. The students looked at how glossaries and indexes work - which included creating their own. Looking at explanation texts in more detail. This week we looked at using number bonds to 10 and 20 to solve addition and subtraction sums. For example if I had 20 baht and wanted to buy a toy for 15 baht. I know that 15 5 = 20, so the change must be 5 baht. Name the 2D shapes of faces of 3D shapes;.

There was an error in this gadget. Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Term 2- week 2: January 9th- 13th 2017. As part of our unit of inquiry, students used items from our classroom to try and make a lever to lift something heavy. We discovered that when the fulcrum of the lever is closer to the item- it is much easier to lift! Students used their knowledge on money and number bonds to 20 to give each other change from items that they pretended to buy from each other. Looking at explanation texts in more detail.

Sunday, 28 June 2015. Thursday, 18 June 2015. On Wednesday we went on our school trip to Art in Paradise. We had so much fun taking interesting pictures, then we got to eat delicious pizza at Scuzzi. Kru Bee and myself were both so impressed with how well behaved 3H were. Well done! We constructed our very own pyramids and painted them during Art. Thursday, 11 June 2015. Which Way is North Again?
