Tower Reports

The Society has been charged with the care of a number of towers in the City of London. Each year the Tower Secretaries and Steeplekeepers give a report on the state of the bells. Their reports are summarised here for interest - both current and historical. While it is not a Society tower, a report is also submitted by the Steeplekeeper of St Mary-le-Bow.

Service ringing times

Sunday Service Ringing Times. St Giles, Cripplegate. 9:30-10:00am on the second Sunday of the month, Easter and Christmas Day. Additional ringing is organised by the Tower Secretary and visiting bands are very welcome. St Magnus the Martyr, London Bridge. Every Sunday after Mass, which usually finishes about 12:15pm. Ringing for 30 mins or so. St Michael, Cornhill. Every Sunday (except August) between 12:00 - 12:20 pm. Ringing takes place at St Paul's Cathedral at the following times:. 9:45 - 10:15 am.

The Society practises in the City of London or at Southwark on Tuesday evenings between 6:30 and 8 pm unless otherwise stated. Drinking afterwards takes place at The Counting House, 50 Cornhill. Unless the practice is at Southwark Cathedral when drinking takes place at The Market Porter. Meet under the tower. Use the small door on the south east side and meet the Junior Steward.
