Saturday, December 5, 2009. Qigong Mountanous Retreat - Day 4 / 5. After watching sunrise and having some fun scaling Mt Bromo. We had our breakfast. At the cafe before rolling downhill for the next 3 hours. Our drive took us down to Probolingo. Before we reach our hotel at Town Square, Surabaya. At Lapindo. We wanted to see the " mud slide ' that destroyed a entire village due to oil drilling operation, but was unable to cross a highway of extreme heavy traffic. Per room ( double bed ) with breakfast.

The dishes were prepared in different forms - satay sticks, fried mutton. And mutton curry to go with rice at 8am. According to Pak. Seated with us ) breakfast at his stall starts at 6am and we were already late. If you are not a mutton lover, avoid it. If you love mutton, well it;s Yummy. Fish, chicken, beef and mutton, vegetables etc etc. Breakfast was Soto Ayam (chicken ).

Saturday, December 5, 2009. On arrival at Jogjakarta we were met by Michelle's sisters ,Nana and Connie. Without a minute to waste , we were whisked off to Jogjakarta famous SOTO stall. What a change in diet after Bali's. Food for one week We then drove for an hour to reach Solo Baru where we stayed and use it as a base to visit places of interest around Solo. Birthday Party - Javanese Tradition. Happens to be celebrating his 72 nd. Birthday. He is however 74 yrs old on that day according to Javanese.
