All four nations met at the school and boarded 2 coaches bound for the open air museum, crossing formerly swampy plains and woodland, past glorious poppy fields, and isolated farms, watched by birds of prey hovering above us. Friday, 21 May 2010. Let's learn some Hungarian! We have already been using the Eurotalk 'Talk Now! Product to recognise some Hungarian words and phrases. Ms Myers has just downloaded an mp3 file and printed off some phrases from the BBC Languages / Quick Fix / Hungarian page. Thanks for the reminder, Graham! And she will attempt to show off her skills tomorrow! A google search has also come up with a great site called single-serving with mp3 downloads. And a neat little foldable A4 sheet.

October shoot is cancelled. We agreed at the AGM that having done the two days for the Challenge it wouldn't be fair to expect members to do another shoot so soon. We have kept it in place until now so we don't loose that weekend for next year. Ashcombe Valley Archers was founded in 1992. It is a field archery club run under the auspices of the NFAS (National Field Archery Society). We stage competition shoots and our members travel far and wide to go to other shoots around the country.
