Amp | Owen Vickers
http://v4.owen.net.nz/tag/amp
Random randomness of random. Posts Tagged ‘Amp’. A new amp is coming…. This week I ordered a new Splawn. Amp from Custom Audio Boutique. I have wanted a Splawn amp for a while now, and decided that the time was right to order it now 🙂. I managed to get my choice down to either a Quick Rod or a Street Rod head. There are other great options, but I need a clean channel, and several of the Splawn models are single channel only. 100 watts – w/ half power switch. Transformer – Heyboer. Tubes – EL34B. Differe...

A jam with Raf | Owen Vickers
http://v4.owen.net.nz/a-jam-with-raf
Random randomness of random. A jam with Raf. I’ve just returned from a great week in Sydney. While I was there I spent a couple of days with my friend Raf. And we recorded a one-take virtual jam over a Robben Ford backing track “Help The Poor”. I got to play on Raf’s most excellent “Catherine” guitar, which was a dream to play and sounded fantastic 🙂. Here’s the video:. This entry was posted on Friday, October 29th, 2010 at 11:31 am and is filed under Guitar Stuff. Click here to cancel reply.

Testing out the new Telecaster | Owen Vickers
http://v4.owen.net.nz/testing-out-the-new-telecaster
Random randomness of random. Testing out the new Telecaster. So, I broke one of my two rules of guitar; never get a Telecaster! I picked up a new Fender Blacktop Telecaster recently, as I think it will come in handy in the recording studio (who knows, I might even play it live one day). The guitar felt and sounded really good, and it had humbuckers so was instantly more in my stylistic ballpark than most Teles. I’ll learn to deal with it…. No explanation will be given for the John 5 finger nails 😛.

Random randomness of random. Posts Tagged ‘Gear Demos’. Mojo Hand Colossus demo. A video demo of me playing the Mojo Hand Colossus fuzz pedal:. Nothing too over the top with the playing, just a few runs through of some similar chord and leads bits to try and show the different sounds you can get with the pedal. 2 June, 2011 at 20:30 by UberOwen.
