It has been in the works since 1889, initiated by, not surprisingly, a Kindergarten teacher who wanted his students to appreciate and understand what the U.S. flag symbolized. In 1916 President Woodrow Wilson established June 14th as National Flag Day. We are blessed to live here, and we are here for a reason.

We were so excited that Grandpa got to go to Fayetteville in October to attend Morgan's baptism! It turned out to be a wonderful trip and best of all he got to play with the girls and visit with Anna and Nate! It took little Aleah a minute to warm up to this "strange man," but once she did, she and Grandpa were inseparable!
