Hollywood Comes To Asheville. August 21, 2014. Asheville ranked a little higher on the coolness barometer this summer when a major Hollywood production hit our downtown streets. The film, dubbed ‘Loomis Fargo’, shot scenes in downtown Asheville at Pack Square in front of City Hall and on Lexington Avenue, College Street and Biltmore Avenue. Indoor sets were constructed at the Asheville Civic Center (now renamed U.S. Cellular Center, ugh) and dozens of locals were hired for the filming. June 21, 2014.
