September 30, 2013. I have good reason for not posting in so long. I am at uni again this time doing my Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood Studies). I have had a full-on year but love it. I have met so many wonderful teachers and children this past year and have become fond of them all, I am going to really miss them all next year. This took much longer than it should of but I think it was worth it in the end because it looks pretty good (if I do say so myself! Some work in progress pictures:.

I love my Canon – it has captured some great memories. Here are just some of them. I have always enjoyed taking photos. When I picked it up as a unit in second year at uni I was all of a sudden reliving my year 9 photography class! Loading film into the old-school camera, taking photos the ‘old fashioned way’ and the funnest, most time time consuming thing of all…processing the images in a darkroom! Follow me – asharp90. Newer posts →. June 29, 2012. I’m entering a textile piece into the Belmont Art Awards this year. Without saying too much about it now (i’ll go into more detail when it’s completed and post final images) it’s basically a set of Babushka Dolls. The aim is to make them as detailed as possible with the use of applique techniques and fine hand stitching adding beads, buttons and sequins. Here’s a preview of one of them (not completed):. June 26, 2012. A watercolour painting I am currently working on. The exh...

Textiles | Ash's blog

I just love attention to detail and playing around with fabrics and sequins so this was the perfect foundation for a new textile project! I am very happy with how these turned out and I look forward to developing them more. I’d love to have a lot of them, a huge one to a really small one, all in their own frames according to size. And have very detailed patterns and fabrics one the ‘bodies’. I can see it in my head now but it would take a long time to make! My Life on a Line. My final university project!

That time of year again… | Ash's blog

https://ashleighsharp.wordpress.com/2012/12/20/that-time-of-year-again

Classroom Resources →. That time of year again…. December 20, 2012. I’ve decided to handmake all my Christmas cards this year. Although a bit of a rush towards the end (so they would be posted in time), I am rather happy with how these ones came out. I used a Christmassy stamp as my base design and then watercolour painted within them all (15 cards all up! And then added trim, stickers and glitter. I experimented with my calligraphy and hand wrote in all of them too. What do you think?

Style Consultant at Shopnfriends. In a Sea of Grey. I’m starting this blog with a little bit of sad news, my time as Belmont Forum’s Fashion Blogger has come to a close. Blue is also a very popular hue this season and so is the peplum so it was only natural that I opted for this marble patterned top. The peplum style is not only on trend but also quite flatteri...
