Grapple is the largest project I have worked on and has spanned over 7 months of development. My role on this project started with game design in the earlier stages and throughout and transitioned into a Level Design focused role. Some major aspects of my role on Grapple are listed below. Level designer, Gameplay scripter. Feb 2013 - Apr 2013. Echo is a twitch based platform puzzler which recieved the best in show award in the FIEA 2012 gauntlet competition. A video describing the game and in depth commentary of my contribution can be viewed below. Scripting and implementation of parts to the Echo mechanic allowing the player to see and interact with puzzles. Scripting and implementation of other necessary mechanics for a standard casual game. Won the Best in Show.

Grapple is an action adventure game using a grappling hook arm to punctuate locomotion throught the city. Grapple is a game set in a mountainside city being attacked by giant Mecha. The Destrozar is a massive robot who launches enemies to try and power down the city by stealing unique power crystals. The player must run and swing around the city defending power sources the Destrozar wishes to steal. This is the largest project I have worked on to date. Site Design by Ashley Dae.

I focused on the implementation of inventory and item usage on Atrox. I was able to build our inventory system to the specifications needed for our game using javascript. I will list items I coded then give an example. Inventory system including an interactive GUI. Insanity" mechanic which changes visuals as the game progresses. Interaction with in game objects in order to pick up and store items. Parts of AI implementation. This script was used to determine if an object was equippable or not.

My passion for developing video games stems from growing up with video games and watching them evolve as I have. I consider myself a hardcore player when I get the time to really get into any particular game. Grapple (UDK) December 2012 - August 2013. Level Designer, Game Designer. Construction and balancing of levels based around complex locomotion system using a grappling hook arm. Level construction of large city environments using a modular geometry set. Iterative white boxing, in engine, of various level concepts. Coordinated with a team of 17 Programmers, Designers, Producers, and Artists for implementing design concepts. Q and A testing to solve frame rate issues and bug fixes. Won the Best in Show.

Feb 2011 - Apr 2011. Atrox is a psycological horror adventure game which uses a unique drug mechanic to alter gameplay. Atrox was the first game I worked on during my undergraduate expereince.
