Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Happy 51st Birthday Ghana! As I said before, Ghana turned 51 last Thursday. March 6th was Independence Day. We celebrated by taking 15 kids to the beach. They had a blast. We played in the sand and water. It is so neat to see their faces just light up with pure joy. We all enjoyed ourselves a bunch. Saturday, September 20, 2008. One of two of the cutest nephews in the world! We saw signs for Bo'Jangles all throughout North Carolina and decided that we had to get some. On our way out of North Carolina, we searched for hours for one and finally found one and let me tell you-it's well worth the wait:). Megan, Heidi, and I at the Bodie Island Lighthouse at the Outer Banks. Megan, Heidi, and I at the sand dunes. I have officially made it through my first 2 1/2 weeks of school-woo hoo!

Sunday, May 18, 2008. I am now home safe and sound in Colorado and let me just say that Denver and Akotoshie #2 (the name of the village where I lived in Ghana) are worlds apart:). Although I love being home, I also miss being in Ghana. God has taught me so much this past year and I am so thankful for all that I have learned. He walked right by my window and I got a great picture of him. I was in the RV of course. We stayed there most of the morning watching him play with the fish. It's so cute and interesting.
