Tuesday, August 30, 2011. I spent the day at the Yoder Heritage Festival in Yoder, KS this past Saturday. Yoder is a community with a large population of Amish and on the last Saturday in August everyone in town gets together and participates in traditional area activities, like buggy races, tractor pulls, horseback football and a big old parade. Ashley L. Byers. Place(ment) is the title of my 2016 MFA thesis show. This installation utilized the Ozarks as a moteif to work with the ideas of painting, place-making, the holy among the banal, figure, landscape, and the relationship of the viewer to the artwork itself. In the summer of 2015 I got the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. While I mostly stayed in the city of Rome, I was also fortunate enough to be able to travel by train to places like Cortona, Assisi, and Florence.

We are 100% counting it down until Miss Hadley arrives. I am almost 37 weeks and extremely tired. We know that Miss Hadley is about 6 pounds and looks wonderful. Today, A Photo.Tomorrow, A Memory. We love watching Bentley grow up and photographing his changes month to month. With curling blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes, this boy is going to be a heart breaker! These three sisters have the best hair and sparkling blue eyes you can imagine. I had a lot of fun posing you ladies. Thank you! These two are best buddies and two of the most photogenic boys I've ever met. They get it from their momma! This little guy just turned one! She's just the sweetest baby ever.
