The Gist Fam: Gender reveal: It's a....
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2011/04/gender-reveal-its.html
Thursday, April 28, 2011. Gender reveal: It's a. But that's not the only thing we found out at the BIG ultrasound. We also found out that Baby Gist is a sweet baby. On the screen. I was floored. All I could do was keep saying NO WAY! My mom was funny - she couldn't figure out when I had picked a green outfit for a girl since she just knew that's what we were having. She (and everyone else) are definitely in shock, but excited too. It was definitely a fun way to share the news with our family.

The Gist Fam: October 2010
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 21, 2010. Does anyone else ever feel like the second you. Talk about things moving so slowly, they instantly pick up and fly? Within the last 10 days we've completed all of our testing and got good results, so we're moving forward! And quickly at that. If you don't want nitty-gritty details, stop reading now. The following could be considered TMI. Right now we are trying to decide exactly when to start our next cycle. Since I don't cycle on my own, I guess the silver lining is that ...

The Gist Fam: March 2011
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 20, 2011. About the size of a Navel Orange (4.5 inches, 2-3 ounces). According to the dr's scale, 8 lbs, but I don't think that's right because my scale at home shows about 1-2 lbs. Jeans - who knew they were so comfy! A few tops, but a lot of pre-maternity tops should fit for a long time. We find out April 26th! I have my inklings, but we'll see what happens! It's still too early to feel anything - probably 4-5 more weeks. Cheese and carbs - although not out of the norm for me. In the back...

The Gist Fam: August 2010
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish. The husband and I have been married for a little over 3 years, and we dated for 3 years before that. In all of that time, we have been looking for an outdoor activity that we really enjoyed doing together. We tried many-a-thing, but nothing really quite fit both of us. Please notice that M is holding it - he's my official fish-unhooker since I'm not quite ready to touch them yet. Monday, August 23, 2010. So instead of giving you excuses like.

The Gist Fam: December 2010
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 16, 2010. Yesterday a new kidmin friend - Amy Dolan - posted over on her. With 10 things you should never say to someone who is struggling to get pregnant. We had commiserated through email earlier in the week about all kinds of things we've had people to say to us. Be sure to check out. To read her list - very practical for sure. I compiled a list of my top 10 things I've either heard personally or heard of someone saying to a friend, so I thought I would share them here. From Laura B...

The Gist Fam: April 2011
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2011. Our son officially has a name! And even though we've known and loved this name since before we even were married, once it was no longer hypothetical for a future child, but about to be a permanent choice for a real person, we wanted to test it out a little bit before sharing. So all week we've been referring to baby boy by his name, and we're happy to say that it fits! So without dragging this out anymore, his name is. We love it, and we can't wait to meet Titus in September!

The Gist Fam: February 2010
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. The Return of Foodie Friday. I know you've all been waiting on pins and needles for me to post again! Well not to disappoint, Foodie Friday is back! The recipe I'm posting today is a relatively new one for our house. I actually read it on Suz's Blog. Anways, if you (or your kids) like pizza, I can pretty much guarantee you are going to like this recipe. The best part is that it only takes about 20-30 minutes to make, and there is almost no prep work required! Mix in about 1 cup...

The Gist Fam: August 2011
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 7, 2011. I can't tell you how many times I am asked every summer if I'm enjoying the "slower pace" of things.and every time I laugh. Summer in children's ministry is crazy, busy, fun, and jam packed. And this summer has been no different thus the lack of posts since May! We think he's pretty cute, and he certainly made his dad proud with the hook 'em horns. We'll have to work on getting the sic 'em bears down next. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the last few updates over the next c...

The Gist Fam: 21 weeks
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2011/05/21-weeks.html
Tuesday, May 10, 2011. 21 weeks on May 7th (picture from Mother's Day 2011 - May 8th). About the size of a carrot (10.5 inches, 3/4 of a pound). At my 20 week appointment (also the big ultrasound), I had gained 10 according to the dr's scale. A few non-maternity tops still fit, and all my tshirts and shorts, which is pretty much what I wear anytime I'm at home. Feeling him pretty consistently, but it's still light. Michael did feel him once this week when he was really active. Who is Baby Gist?

The Gist Fam: March 2010
http://thegistfam.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Ever wondered why we celebrate St. Patrick's Day? This fun little video is surprisingly very informative! It's worth 8 and a half minutes of your time! Friday, March 5, 2010. It's been a BUSY week! My parents moved here last weekend, so I've been spending a good bit of time at their house helping them get settled. But don't think being busy and not at home was going to deter me from posting another Foodie Friday recipe! I am much more committed than that {sarcasm}. Combine brot...
