I am a student at the University of Regina in the Faculty of Education. I am enrolled in Secondary Education, pursuing a major in French and a minor in Mathematics. I will be receiving a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree at the end of my studies. I love to learn and hope to pass on my love of learning to my students. I cannot wait to be able to spend my days in the classroom with my students, inspiring them and shaping them into well-rounded and independant people. UBD lesson plan #1.

What a Beautiful Family. January 19, 2014. I was cruising Facebook recently and I came across this picture and thought I would share it. It shows the diversity of modern day families and addresses many of the issues we discuss in ECS 210. It even seems to be the starting of the abolishing of stereotypes people have about gay families (as it has gone viral), therefore, having the potential to decrease the amount of homophobia that is in the world. March 5, 2014. As I reflect now on my autobiography, I realize that I didn’t include my race, gender, and/or class in it. This seems odd to me since we often learn about how these components affect our students and ourselves. We are all treaty people. February 3, 2014. As a response to Claire Kreuger’s presentation on Treaty Education, I agree with the idea that teachers need to teach Treaty Education within their classrooms however it is, as Claire said, not easy to do. There is not a clear cut way to teach Treaty Education and the way in which teachers portray and teach about Treaty Education differs depending on who their students are and how much their students know.
