Mike's EV Ramblings. What is the one thing most EV manufacturers are missing? They think they are just making cars. That sounds like an odd thing to say, so let me explain. The Nissan Leaf is one of the best EVs on the market today in its price category. It has pretty good range, its a great price, easy to get and the majority of its dealers at least don’t mind selling it. Mike's EV Ramblings. Just read a really interesting article about EV driving/battery range over on one of my goto sites Cleantechnica. Opens in new tab). Zach always writes interesting stuff and this one is no exception. It has lots of charts and graphs and makes extremely valid points. But I think he misses the main reason folks talk about range. All of the charts and graphs show that the vast majority of folks only need 35-40 miles of range to meet their driving requirements. So whats the problem?
