http://www.simpleandsereneliving.com/2015/07/why-we-should-buy-local-produce.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. WHY WE SHOULD BUY LOCAL PRODUCE. Summer means that there is an abundance of fresh produce, and the local farmers seem to be everywhere selling it. Buying local produce is always the best option, and we should never undervalue it. According to Local Harvest. One of the things I love about shopping from local farmers is that I can talk to the farmer face to face. I can look them in the eye and ask questions like when was this picked and is your produce grown organically or do you...

Simple and Serene Living: GOING "AFOWL" IN HOTLANTA
http://www.simpleandsereneliving.com/2015/08/going-afowl-in-hotlanta.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. GOING "AFOWL" IN HOTLANTA. I finally made it to Atlanta, where my first day seemed to be taken up with the feathered members of the family. Morning comes early and the first thing that happens is shooing the chickens from their coop. Fresh eggs still warm from the chickens. It doesn't get much better than this. After a big farmhouse breakfast of scrambled eggs Tessa took me out for my next task so that I could work off some of those calories. It was a perfect day, and by 8:30 I wa...

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. A Little Bit of Change. I know the weather doesn't seem like it is soon to be fall. But it is on it's way. I usually don't do any Fall decorating until after Labor Day, but I am going to so a little bit now. Life is about change and nothing stays the same. I have found I need not fear change. For the Lord has put the power of faith in our hearts not fear. For I will go and do as the Lord commands. He will provide the way for me to accomplish his command. Links to this post.

On mission to make you and your home happy. Monday, September 22, 2014. The Colors of Fall. This weather is beautiful. I am slowly changing our home from a traditional flavor leaning toward French Country to small amounts of farmhouse/cottage. That means that neutrals and whites will be a big part of the decor scheme. But I love pops of color. I don't think I can every totally decorate for fall. In just monochromatic whites. To me, fall and harvest include rich, abundant color. I love. The Flavors of Fall.

Simple and Serene Living: SURRENDER TO THE FLOW
http://www.simpleandsereneliving.com/2015/07/surrender-to-flow.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. SURRENDER TO THE FLOW. You know what they say about the best laid plans. They often go awry. I remember when I was younger I would get upset when plans didn't go the way they were supposed to, but I've learned to go with the flow more as I have gotten older, to live more in the moment. Surrendering to the flow does not mean that you are being passive, but instead that you are going with the flow of the universe. You are taking what life throws at you without getting angry. I agree,...
