124; Comments RSS. Posted on January 31, 2008. The economic stimulus package. Proposed by President George W. Bush, and largely supported by both parties in Congress as they consider various modifications and caveats to it, is utterly worthless. Not only will it not stimulate the U.S. economy, but it will actually serve to stimulate China’s economy instead. On top of that, the U.S. economy doesn’t need to be stimulated anyway, because it’s not in a recession. 124; Tagged: anchorman. 124; 2 Comments.

No week in Hawaii, like the trip Sandy and I took in September. We just don’t have the money or energy for it this year, not after moving into the new house. 124; Comments RSS. Posted on June 18, 2008. I just found out that there is no official motto of the United States Postal Service. I always thought there was, namely the famous, “Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, etc.” motto that we hear quoted so often. Turns out that one was taken from a description of the Persian Empire’s courier service found in Herodotus’. At least, that’s what it says on Wikipedia. 124; Comments RSS. Posted on August 31, 2008. As much as I hate it, because I genuinely dislike the guy, I think the bashing of Alex Rodriguez has reached a preposterous height. When I was in New York for the last Red Sox-Yankees series, I had to watch the YES network. Feed of the game. Michael Kay. The scratchy-voiced television announcer for the Yankees, said the following about Rodriguez after he hit into a double play in one of those games: Continue reading →. 124; Tagged: Alex Rodriguez.
