Our Family: December 2011
http://mattoxfam.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. What can you say about kids? There is never a dull moment. Take going to the eye doctor for example. Can there be a more boring outing? Not with my kids. So here are some pics to show how much fun we have. Katie Belle (naturally) was the one who befitted the geek goggles best. It was funny however, when the doctor asked her to read the letters to see how well she does. In the typical eye doctor voice to a kid he said, "Can you read those letters up there for me? Button Shirt ...

Our Family: Maia, The Grasshopper Hunter
http://mattoxfam.blogspot.com/2013/07/maia-grasshopper-hunter.html
Saturday, July 20, 2013. Maia, The Grasshopper Hunter. Maia marks the beginning of spring with the first grasshopper she sees. Every year she'll shriek with joy when she spots the first one of the year and then run inside to grab her "bug house" and try to catch it. Then all summer she goes out and catches them, and butterflies, and anything else she can! So I felt I needed to document this annual ritual for her. Here's Luke being a good big brother and helping her get her grasshoppers in the bug house.

The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Saturday, January 29, 2011. 255) Should I be admitting this? Probably not. . . but I can't think of anything else to write about tonight. So. But, I feel a little guilty because that little piece of my heart that is still back there in high school got all excited at the idea of him falling at my feet! Life has not been what I expected, but that is not a bad thing at all. I didn't marry when ...

The Cardells: Creating Happiness: May 2011

The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Thursday, May 26, 2011. 310) I love flowers! I took the girls to the store the other day. It was just Wal-mart, but they were pretty excited about it: Lots of people to smile at, lots of things to look at, a world of fun! Owyn, in particular, did really well staying close to me and being obedient and helpful. So, when we walked by a display of flowers and she said, "Oh, Mom! She stands on th...

The Cardells: Creating Happiness: Happy 4th of July
http://sarahandmichaelcardell.blogspot.com/2011/07/happy-4th-of-july.html
The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Monday, July 4, 2011. Happy 4th of July. I'm a little disappointed today. I was hoping to be able to get out of the house and go to a movie and watch fireworks. But, on Friday Mike came home and informed me the car was broken. He had to order a new part and it wouldn't be here until at least Tuesday. We are stuck until then. I still have these:. I still love America. Labels: 4th of July.

The Cardells: Creating Happiness: For my Family

The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Friday, August 26, 2011. I had the great opportunity to fly home (by myself) this summer and celebrate the life of my amazing grandmother. I was touched. I was inspired. And I got to spend the weekend with some fantastic people. I can't express how lucky I am to be part of such a wonderful family. They are honestly my favorite people in the whole world. Here are some of my pictures:.

The Cardells: Creating Happiness: (311 to 365)

The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Sunday, June 12, 2011. It has, obviously, become a bit impossible for me to blog every day. Not only is my computer serving elsewhere, but my energy levels are diminishing. I have to rearrange and reprioritize things. Don't worry. I'm not giving up either of my blogs. One helps me feel more connected with family and friends and the other. I love music and dancing and singing and laughing.

The Cardells: Creating Happiness. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough. - Emily Dickinson. Thursday, March 31, 2011. So, I took a spring cleaning break today. I really wasn't planning to, but this morning.well, I knew my girls were playing with two of my balls of yarn that I left out last night. I figured they were okay and ran upstairs for not more than 2 minutes to get the things I needed to get them ready for the day. Have you seen it yet? I hadn't. I have been so excited t...

Our Family: August 2012

Sunday, August 19, 2012. What can you say about guys camping? Sometimes I wonder why women kick men out of the house to let them sleep outside and put up with each other. Sometimes. There is this particular bend in the road where a nice log home is nestled at the base of rolling hills where the residents may eventually harvest what my son sowed into the dirt with extra care. You should see it someday. Ah yes. Fire. What captivates curiosity and compliments creativity for a boy quite like fire? Hopefully ...
