Wednesday, February 18, 2009. For my birthday Shannon got me an amigurumi. Book I have made 4 things from it so far. I realized after making a doggie and his puppy that I was crocheting wrong. So I watched some really good YouTube videos and learned how from Aunt Esther. Here is the first one. And here is the second one. Tuesday, February 6, 2007. The first thing I've ever knit was this lovely hat. What started out as an extra wide scarf, became a unique hat. I dropped a lot of stitches, and tried some purling, and ended with hat that has 3 long braids coming from the top. Sunday, October 14, 2007. I knitted up this cute little Halloween heart in about 1.5 hours. That includes the knitting, felting, stitching, and stuffing. The only wool yarn I have is black and green. Now, you may notice that my mittens are not as "simple" as their mittens. I altered the pattern a little to get the hat effect and candy cane thumb. Monday, August 27, 2007. I saw a diagonally knit piece once. So, I decided I'd attempt to recreate that piece with some left over yarn. I used US Size 6 needles and cast-on 24 stitches. For row 1, K4, P4 until the end of the row. For the 2nd row, I did the reverse of what I did on the front (So K4, P4). For row 3, I shifted the pattern, I started with K3. Then P4, K4 until I was down to the last stitch, K1. The 4th row reversed that (So start with P1, K4, P4. P3). I continued this until the yarn ran out!

Tuesday, September 16, 2008. 28 and 29: Blanket and Creature. With no camera still, you will have to excuse the poor image quality. But isn't too bad coming from my 2 year old phone. A few months ago, my cousin Diana asked me to make her a blanket for her new daughter, Laura, who should come around any day now. So I made.
