Our Life In Southeast Asia: A Final Farewell to Bali
http://pacrim-journey.blogspot.com/2012/06/final-farewell-to-bali.html
Our Life In Southeast Asia. Sunday, June 24, 2012. A Final Farewell to Bali. A week ago we boarded a plane to Bali for the last time. We always look forward to our time there. It is a great time of refreshing and talking with like-minded people and being encouraged. This year was no exception. One of the biggest reasons for our eagerness to get there this year was the fact that Ethan and Kenna would be meeting us there after a week at camp! We love the view of the volcanoes when we fly over. The last aft...

Our Life In Southeast Asia. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. We got back from the cross country tournament only to find out Monday morning that Ethan had a soccer game that afternoon after school. It was an outdoor game and Ethan and his teammates were super excited because all their other games have been indoors. Here is our team. They are currently ranked 12th out of thirty-five schools. They played the 3rd ranked team yesterday. It was a very close game. The rest of the photos are just highlights from the game.

Our Life In Southeast Asia. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. We came back from Bali with three weeks left of our time here. As we began to gather things from around the house so we could start the packing process Ethan and Kenna decided to find their own way of entertaining themselves. Posted by Kenny Barfield. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Quotes from the Kids. Found a Skype message from Ethan and Kenna to their nana: Nana: what are you doing up? Kenna was asking us questions the other night comparing diffe...

Our Life In Southeast Asia. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. For our last week here we've asked the kids where they would like to go one last time. Kenna's choice was to go to the pool. We haven't been to the pool in several months, so it was a nice change of pace for us. Kenna is becoming quite brave in the water and spent the entire time in the deep end. Ethan has become quite the swimmer. Ethan and Kenna both spent much of their time climbing out and jumping back in. Bree didn't want to swim. Here is the coffe...

Our Life In Southeast Asia: The End of a Work Week
http://pacrim-journey.blogspot.com/2012/07/end-of-work-week.html
Our Life In Southeast Asia. Sunday, July 15, 2012. The End of a Work Week. Bree finished up her last day of training this week. She really enjoyed the opportunity and now wishes she intern longer. It has been a good experience for her and a great place to start. On her last day she began to learn how to make the coffee art. She said it was a lot harder than she thought it would be and a lot harder than it looks. The girl training her today is the shops best artist! Posted by Kenny Barfield. Kenna was ask...

Our Life In Southeast Asia. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The Trains Keep Coming. Sunday we hopped on yet another train and begin our five hour journey to take Ethan and Kenna to camp. I must say, the five hours flew by compared to the 15 hour ride a couple of months ago! By the time we got to the camp (we had to eat at McDonald's because we couldn't eat and ride…not enough room) the kids were already signed in and playing and chatting with old friends. The next morning we opted out of cramming into a taxi a...

Our Life In Southeast Asia
http://pacrim-journey.blogspot.com/2012/07/our-time-here-is-quickly-coming-to-end.html
Our Life In Southeast Asia. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. As He was on His way, performing tasks, didn't He stop and talk with people and make them a part of His life. What if He hadn't? Think of all of those men and women who wouldn't have been healed or touched by Him. Isn't that the same even now? Think of all the people we don't "touch" for His sake when we don't take the time to stop on our way and get involved with the people around us. Is it inconvenient at times? Sure Does it take sacrifice on our part?
