A Slice of Jamon

A Slice of Jamon. A blog about Jamon and living in Andalucia by Joshua Macdonald. Sunday, October 2, 2011. This is me and my friend Tommy. Tommy comes to visit us in Spain three times a year and sometimes for my birthday. In September it is still nice and hot outside so sometimes we make a paella on the barbaque. Tommy likes to cook although he is not as good as carving ham as me because he has had no practise. My ham carving is getting better as last week my dad let me use one of his expensive knives.

http://www.asliceofjamon.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

A Slice of Jamon. A blog about Jamon and living in Andalucia by Joshua Macdonald. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. In January my mam and dad cooked a paella for some American people who had come from the USA to Andalucia for a holiday! It was a good day and I made a new friend called jack who spoke very good spanish. My dad took this foto of me and jack looking through their telescope which they brought to Orce. Links to this post. A Slice of Jamon. A blog about Jamon and living in Andalucia by Joshua Macdonald. Tuesday, July 5, 2011. This is my new dog who came from the Spanish countryside so I decided to call him 'Campo'. I dont know how old he is but he is just a puppy. I think he came from a farm down the road and copies my other dog 'Reme'. The hams from Maria are very good and I have been practicing my carving on a 'jamon' bodega. I think my tapas are getting better! Location: 18858 Orce, Spain. August 16, 2011 at 6:41 PM.

http://www.asliceofjamon.blogspot.com/2011/07/spanish-chorizo.html

A Slice of Jamon. A blog about Jamon and living in Andalucia by Joshua Macdonald. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. This chorizo is hot, smells nice and you can have it for tapas, with wine, rice or you can fry it or barbeque it. I took these photos with my Dad who doing pictures for the website and he let me use his camera very carefully! We cooked the chorizo sausages in a frying pan first for these pictures because they look better and nice and tasty. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cooking on the barbeque.

Cave Living Andalucia 2: Rain & Hail...

http://caves-inland-andalucia.blogspot.com/2008/05/rain-hail.html

It had been threatening all day, black sky and obvious downpours over the mountain range in front of the cave. Mid afternoon the neighbours dropped by to collect a parcel - this is when the first onslaught came. Hail and big hail at that! Assesing the damage the day after revealed almost every plant in the garden being peppered as if it had met a shotgun. The rain came down so heavy is put 3 inches of water on the patio within minutes and it all came through the front door. When it rains, it pours! I rem...

Cave Living Andalucia 2: Cave Living - The Spanish Perspective

http://caves-inland-andalucia.blogspot.com/2009/02/cave-living-spanish-perspective.html

Cave Living - The Spanish Perspective. Written by our good friend Emilio for Livinginacave.com. What kind of tiles do you use on the roofs of caves? All my classmates and myself tried to do our best with our drawings, but in the end, the teacher had to agree that certainly caves didn't fit in any of the patterns given by the textbook. From the Spanish point of view the question is: Why do the English come here? This is something that is changing with the arrival of the Brits. Blog Archive 2004 - Present.

An age ago it seems with a vary basic Google blogger as well as very basic knowledge about cave renovation! Part of the revival will be to detail some of the more realistic points of liv...
