Embracing my pregnancy ambivalence |

Embracing my pregnancy ambivalence. We’ve made it to 18 1/2 weeks already. Yeah! Lately I’ve been fantasizing about 20 weeks. It’s the half way point, so that sounds safe, right? Instead I was focused on what is the next thing to worry about, in our case it is a fetal echo in 4 weeks to confirm a healthy heart (recommended for pregnancies from IVF). Started spilling the beans. Turning the corner- Finally moving to the other side →. 7 Responses to “Embracing my pregnancy ambivalence”. This rings so true&#...

Thank you for understanding. You are so sweet. I know you’ve been there so you know how it feels. Most people just want to jump into talking about maternity clothes and baby showers and then don’t understand my reluctance to get on board. December 12, 2012 at 6:40 am. Still so very happy for you. A great WordPress.com site. It’s been a while…. I have been settling in to life with 3 kids. It has been fun, interesting, tiring, and challenging to say the least. He finally started taking a binkie which I am so thankful for. It’s hard when I knew he wanted the comfort of sucking without having to eat. It’s made calming him down and getting him to sleep a lot faster. I’m still co-sleeping with him and it means I’ve been getting some pretty decent chunks of sleep. July 29, 2013. So much has been going on lately since I started seeing my new doctor, let’s just call him Dr. B. He does specialize in Endometriosis. He does believe in many immune illnesses (though not NK cells) and did some pretty thorough testing. Our journey dealing with PCOS, crappy morphology, pregnancy and parenting after infertility. August 8, 2012. I can’t believe how quickly these past weeks have gone. The first 10 days of recovery after the c section were a little rough, but after that the swelling went down and the pain decreased. S took 3 weeks off, which was great. My aunt was here for the first two weeks which was so helpful. Now, at nearly 6 weeks, I feel normal again. Here are some pictures:. Birdie, 2.5 years old. On August 8, 2012.

24 weeks and still going! 24 weeks. Unbelievable. I am so thrilled to be crossing into the 6 month zone! Mathematically it is the third trimester, but I noticed several books count that one starting at 28 weeks. Either way, for me it’s a HUGE milestone. Never made it this far and feeling thoroughly pregnant on all fronts. Last week I felt movement for the first time in there and it was. Happening I want to enjoy every minute. In fact I wish I could just press pause. 34 weeks →. February 17, 2013 at 3:44 ...

To Tell or Not To Tell. A problem I fantasized about having is finally here. Who do I tell and when? There is a part of me that is perfectly content just keeping this information to myself for as long as I can. Afterall, I am not showing and we are only 14 weeks in. (Yes, 14 weeks tomorrow! I know the normal route for folks with healthy pregnancy histories is to tell around 12 weeks, but what about for those of us with a shaky history? With a history or recurrent loss should you wait longer? I struggled ...
