A Plante's botany experiment. A three hundred and sixty five day long adventure. Rules… more like guidelines. Hip to be square. A flower full of flowers →. A Cornholio of a Botany Inspiration. July 13, 2012. On this Friday I spent my day making and painting the wooden frames for the game Corn Hole. Due to it’s botany inspired name, I’m using this as one of my 365’s. In my defense, the wood was once a tree. And the bags are filled with rice! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Hip to be square.

https://aplantesbotany.wordpress.com/about
A Plante's botany experiment. A three hundred and sixty five day long adventure. Rules… more like guidelines. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. We may not know what that reason is… but there is one. Having a last name such as Plante didn’t make me instantly love plants. Nor did it influence me to become a Plant Science teacher. But I do, and I am. Over the next 365 days I hope to find inspiration in the ordinary. I hope to create pieces of art that inspire… me. A Snail a Day.

I made a robot a day for a year! With a hat tip to Skull-A-Day). Sunday, March 11, 2012. 371 Balsa Bot Redux. This one has been done for a while, just keep forgetting to take a picture and post it. Playing around with my wood burner and finding out that my balsa is way too soft and ignitable for it, but that did not keep me from assembling this. Wood with brads added in for accent. I made a robot a day for a year! With a hat tip to Skull-A-Day). Wednesday, August 10, 2011. 3/4 of a robot done. I am so letting the team down lately. Being a new (again) homeowner has really sucked up the free time for robot building. I have a robot about 3/4 of the way done, just no legs/wheels/locomotion for it yet. I have found that drilling through sheet stainless steel is a major PITA, even with a high end bit. Also, I 'won' back my robot quilt square (#263). And one from Sun a Day. I can be conta...

I made a robot a day for a year! With a hat tip to Skull-A-Day). Tuesday, June 21, 2011. I've had a bag of balsa wood for probably 10 years, found it after moving and used some x-acto knives to cut it up some. I want to try some carving/Dremel work but this stuff is too fragile.
