Aspect Arts - Kathartes - Narcotic Trinket

The Narcotic Trinket is the latest full length ambient-abstract release from Kathartes (John Harford). It is a trip through a crack in the corner of a room - to realms reminiscient of HP Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock, The Amityville murders and Luis Brunel. It is perhaps the most musically complete and complex of all of the ambient albums. A soundtrack to a waking (? Kathartes is for now on hiatus. Though elements of the ambient music creep into the rest of John's video and music. Photo and Visual Arts.

Autumn Cascade is the band's unreleased album. It is less noisy and and bit more narrative than Her Dead Love. It features vocals and spoken word elements, in addition to heavily layered ambient sounds. Included here is Mario's solo piece Starr. Mario is also a co-founder and core member of Terra Serpentis. All of these files are CD quality MP3. The individual tracks are between 3 and 7 MB each. The full archive is about 58 MB. Tracks 1 - 11 Plus Album Art. All material Mario Lima/Sirvix 2010.

Civilization is an exploration into the Aghoric consciousness. Decay beautified and filth devoured. Tinged with visits from Shiva and Kali: steeped in Vedic precepts and untouchable esthetics. It is about the erosion of the psycho-cultural landscape. And what comes after that erosion is complete. All the lyrics are narrated by John over drifting waves of ambience and texture. Dream Projectors - a noisy composition in the tradition of Coil's Queens, Constant Shallowness, etc. Most of what you hear is recordings of 'earth hums' and frequencies reportedly used in mind control experiments. 2 Road Side Burial.

Terra Serpentis is John Harford's medieval/neo-medieval music project. It began as a solo work combining esthetic and technique of his abstract compositions with ancient instruments. It is now an ever evolving band that stages shows in the European neo-medieval style. The first demo recordings are now available here to freely download. Each individual track is between 1 and 3 MB.
