life from the edg...: October 2008
http://jeffedgington.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Life from the edg. Thursday, October 23, 2008. I'm reading a book that's got a weird name and is a bit on the deep side at parts. 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' by Robert M. Pirsig. the passage below is from this book and is something that just has me thinking. it about the understanding of your world ( I use the word 'your' on purpose as it fits the context of the passage). This is another passage later in the book. Always killed. But what is less noticed in the arts-something is always...

life from the edg...: A Pale Blue Dot...
http://jeffedgington.blogspot.com/2010/02/pale-blue-dot.html
Life from the edg. Sunday, February 14, 2010. A Pale Blue Dot. Today is the 20th anniversary of Voyager 1 taking a photograph of Earth from almost 4 billion miles. The photograph (http:/ www.bigskyastroclub.org/pale blue dot.htm ) shows just a tiny pale blue dot. Carl Sagan is the hero in this story. he lobbied for this photo over several years. I'm glad he did. it has significance in its insignificance. Mr. Sagan said it best. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My favorite river and my favorite bridge.

life from the edg...: "Education of a Wandering Man":
http://jeffedgington.blogspot.com/2008/12/education-of-wandering-man.html
Life from the edg. Friday, December 12, 2008. Education of a Wandering Man":. We are all, finally, wanderers in search of knowledge. Most of us hold the dream of becoming something better than we are, something larger, richer, in some way more important to the world and ourselves. Too often, the way taken is the wrong way, with too much emphasis on what we want to have, rather than what we wish to become. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life from the edg. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. A vanilla day turned notable. Most days begin benignly. ordinary. vanilla. as without significance as the beginning of a day can be, which is amazing in itself, though we take it for granted. Today began this way for me and then caught me by surprise. it became significant and built on itself. Strike Hold. Airborne. All The Way. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). life from the edg...: September 2008
http://jeffedgington.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Life from the edg. Tuesday, September 9, 2008. I told my friend to read 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost. This friend is now trying to make a major choice in their life. both are noble and good. both have great reward. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel both . And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. But, as life usually is. you can't have your cake and eat it too. you must choose. and then be at peace with your choice. My friends and I.

life from the edg...: All kinds of time...
http://jeffedgington.blogspot.com/2009/10/all-kinds-of-time.html
Life from the edg. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. All kinds of time. Time comes to my mind often. when I'm running. when I mark another day off my calendar. when I'm sitting on the back deck of the TOC eating my breakfast and feeding the two doves that visit each morning. when I'm rushing to get a brief prepared. when someone outside the wire is depending on my TOC to get them the assistance they need. when one of my children turns another year older. When I'm running, that is time for me. time to revi...
