Saturday, June 12, 2010. It took more than just a week to get settled in here at our summer home at Juniper Ridge, altitude 6240'. Daughter Amy, husband Dan and son Caidan arrived on Thursday to stay with us for four days. Dan had a Triathlon race (bicycle, run and swim) on Saturday, he did well. Tuesday, September 14, 2010. WHAT I LIKE TO DO BEST - PART THREE. It seems to me the logical thing to do is to continue my likes to do! So here we go into another field: Flowers, Botany that is, getting more sophisticated? We move up to the mountains June 1st to get away from the huge metropolitan mash called Phoenix. An unknown benefit are the open spaces of the Juniper Forest. Common Sunflower, Kansas sunflower, mirasol, annual sunflower. Bright yellow ray flowers, maroon disk flowers: to 5" wide.
