aspiedoc – aspiedoc

https://aspiedoc.wordpress.com/author/aspiedoc

A middle-aged female doctor on the autism spectrum. October 26, 2016. I was going to go and read a book in the bath, but it started to rain so I thought I would write something for my blog instead. It’s been a while! A lot has happened. I’ll maybe blog about some of that later. I am on a yoga retreat. I needed a break. Oh boy did I need a break! And here I am – in the hills with an outdoor bath (hence postponing my reading until the rain stops), sauna and hot tub! It is an ashtanga yoga retreat. With...

How objective is an official #Asperger’s / #autism diagnosis? – aspiedoc

https://aspiedoc.wordpress.com/2016/10/17/how-objective-is-an-official-aspergers-autism-diagnosis

A middle-aged female doctor on the autism spectrum. How objective is an official #Asperger’s / #autism diagnosis? October 17, 2016. Well, obviously I’ve been on a diagnosis post kick . Please forgive me for doing this. I do have a lot of thoughts on this one single topic, and each thought has taken a life of its own. In fact, there seem to be a lot of (different) thoughts on the subject, not just from my brain, but from those of other people. But anyway, a while back, I got to thinking. 1,020 more words.

Autism Awareness – aspiedoc

https://aspiedoc.wordpress.com/2015/04/02/autism-awareness

A middle-aged female doctor on the autism spectrum. April 2, 2015. April 2, 2015. So it’s World Autism Awareness Day today. I have been reading recently about the use of the term “awareness” and how “acceptance” might be a better term. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet being so new to the spectrum! Coming Out →. Grrrr! – aspiedoc

https://aspiedoc.wordpress.com/2015/03/26/grrrr

A middle-aged female doctor on the autism spectrum. March 26, 2015. Just received home to find a letter inviting me to an occupational health appointment several hours ago, followed by an email from work pointing out that I’d missed said appointment! Made me feel very stirred up and unsettled until I’d dealt with both. Still feel unsettled. Why can’t I just forget about these things instead of dwelling on them? Is this an Aspie thing or just an irritated person thing? Today’s thought for the day.

0olong Messes About On WordPress.com. But probably doesn't do any actual blogging. Police spies out of lives. Because this is important. Through the looking glass. Most unromantic thing anyone ever said to me on a date: You’re not a police spy are you? He meant it too, and he was totally justified in asking*. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the Oh, shit look in his eyes. There isn’t anything I can add to the coverage in the Guardian. Or new book from Paul Lewis and Rob Evans. By 0olong on June 25, 2013.

0olong Messes About On WordPress.com. But probably doesn't do any actual blogging. I keep referring back to this post, so I thought I might as well re-blog it…. One of the recurring ideas that crops up in alternative economics circles is the citizen’s income. In a nutshell, it’s a universal and unconditional payment made to every adult in the country, every month. This provides everyone with a ‘guaranteed minimum income’, which is an alternative name for it. 1,639 more words. By 0olong on June 19, 2013.

0olong Messes About On WordPress.com. But probably doesn't do any actual blogging. Of Dogs and Lizards: A Parable of Privilege. Okay, so I guess I’m occasionally re-blog posts I’m likely to want to refer back to. This is good. Today I’m feeling 101-y, I guess, so let’s talk about privilege. Asperger Dragons in the Bible

Asperger Dragons in the Bible. A journey through learning about Aspergers AND how God's Word is relevant to those of us with special needs children. Thursday, May 19, 2016. I'm sure you all at one time have been frustrated by having to slow down. In order to actually accomplish. So why do we expect them to go at a 'normal' (which probably could be read as 'public school') pace? As if it was that one show that was throwing her. I explained it wasn't just the one show, it was having to be ON all. Week And ...

Saturday, May 30, 2015. One Picture says it all this evening. Links to this post. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Taking the easy way out this evening: Social issues and Teen Aspie Boys. Since the below occurance we have slowly started "churching" again.at very snail's pace or slower- fear of joining in anything is big with us right now. That and we are just too tired to give a damn.
