http://aspiepride.blogspot.com/2013/10/well.html
The blog for Asperger's parents, kids and supporters. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. A Cure for Asperger's? Well here we are, several years down the road. It's time to update ye olde blog - and the story of NJ. First, we suspected he was Aspergian about four years ago, when his teacher suggested we get him checked. We never did get an "official" diagnosis, but NJ went into social-group therapy and occupational therapy. oh yeah, and speech therapy. He was fully therapied. Finally, the results came back. M...
Aspie Pride: December 2009
http://aspiepride.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
The blog for Asperger's parents, kids and supporters. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Some Asperger's Books Are Just Idiotic. Cool rain. Wet pavement smell wafting on the ocean breeze. Marching band booming. Drumbeats. Christmas carols beaming through the air. Steady rain coming down. The annual Holiday Parade in our small town on Florida's Atlantic coast was rainy. But blessedly cool, and appropriately holiday-feeling. And he's damn good at it. Like, seriously. If I had read certain books about Aspergian ki...
Aspie Pride: January 2010
http://aspiepride.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
The blog for Asperger's parents, kids and supporters. Friday, January 15, 2010. REGGIE, STOP IT NOW.". Me Yelling. At someone else's kid. In front of them. At a Cub Scout meeting! What is the world coming to? Well, this little fellow needed a wake-up call of some kind. He simply wouldn't respond to regular instructions to stop hitting while playing with NJ. These two have known each other for years. They've wrestled for years. It's the nature of their relationship. And that's totally cool. I told you to ...
Aspie Pride: January 2013
http://aspiepride.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
The blog for Asperger's parents, kids and supporters. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Asperger's by Any Other Name. Well, it has been a long time since I've written on this hear blog. Many things have happened since then - much water has passed beneath the bridge. They finalized DSM-V, for starters. Hey, Asperger's no longer exists, folks! How convenient. A whole community, with decades of historic diagnostic and therapeutic modalities built up, has been virtually erased by the DSM committee. My point on this ...
Aspie Pride: Aspie Wins BSA Pinewood Derby
http://aspiepride.blogspot.com/2010/05/aspie-wins-bsa-pinewood-derby.html
The blog for Asperger's parents, kids and supporters. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Aspie Wins BSA Pinewood Derby. My apologies for the hypey headline. but I just couldn't help myself. I have a little "Aspie Heroes" sidebar on this blog. And it should include my son, NJ. This past weekend, he took 1st place among dozens of Cub Scouts competing in the Osceola District Pinewood Derby. Each heat involved four race cars. And they keep racing until a champion emerges. As it turned out, the other boys had worked on t...

A primer on Interplanetary communications. Links to this post. Monday, October 3, 2011. And if you're concerned about a slow extinction from attrition as no one has kids, don't be. If there's room for more people the government can allow some people to reproduce using stored sperm and ova or as a last resort, cloning. Still, those m...

aspiepriest | A Catholic Priest with Asperger's Syndrome ponders the Catholic Faith and human nature
Introduction to my Blog. AspiePriest's Mind, AspiePriest's Story. January 8, 2017. I’ve not been blogging for a while due to a series of minor infections – when you’re not running on 100% capacity as a priest you have to prioritise the basics – and it may be a while before I’m posting regularly, but this thought came along. Why is it that other people. I learned two things from this conversation. Which I mentioned this time last year. People might have allergies or simply not like particular food. I ...

Aspie Quiz
The Aspie Quiz offers two main evaluations, your Aspie score and your Neurotypical score. The Aspie score is indicative of Asperger’s Syndrome characteristics. The neurotypical score rates common non-autisitc traits. Based on these evaluations, the test analyzes if you either have Aspie features or if you are an Aspie. Online checks like the Aspie Quiz can be a part of the analytic battery, as long as there is a full neuropsychological test, genetic assessment and other verbal and non-verbal tests.
