I experienced no cravings, though that may be a result of making relatively few changes in my diet, and really only mild bathroom scale withdrawal, though if you've read my posts, it may sound more than mild. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Of crock pots and childhood. I've been enjoying my crock pots a lot lately. Possibly the best part for me is having hot, moist, long-cooking sorts of meals that take only minutes of my attention. A few tomatoes in a large pot of food can add the flavor without so much tomato. It's virtually foolproof and not time-sensitive. It can cook 6 hours or 10 without issue. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wednesday, March 14, 2012. An (almost) paleo birthday party. When I decided to start the Whole30 on March 1, it was partially because March would be an easy shot. I saw nothing ahead that would throw a wrench into the works. In the past, too, I've loved to simmer corned beef and cabbage in Guinness and make black and tans for St. Patrick's Day. I thought my diet was already pretty restricted, what with no gluten- -no grains at all, really, no dairy, no legumes, no FODMAPS, few nightshades, almost nothing processed in any way, certainly nothing artificial or "food-like."
