A big thanks to all the firefighters - the fire reached the front porch, but they saved the house. I stopped by her house to say hi, and there she was in her kitchen, at 4:30 in the afternoon, pouring herself a double Dewar's on the rocks. Sweet. Grandma, you rock. I vaguely remember talking shit to the owner because he wouldn't put the Laker game on for us. He eventually did, probably to shut me up.
