We Were Promised Jetpacks. Illustration / Gig Poster. This is the winning poster from a gig poster competition held by Switch for the band We Were Promised Jetpacks. We incorporated 3D typography from Cinema 4D, hand drawn illustrations, and layer upon layer of textures in Photoshop to complete the final concept. Using many visual metaphors we felt we succeeded in capturing the mood, energy, and message of their album.

Motion Graphics and Product Photography. We worked with Switch in St. Louis on this spot with the challenge of producing a refreshing aesthetic with minimal static assets. Stock photography wasn’t meshing well with this spot, so Assembly Creative’s resident photographer, Justin Jones, went to work. Finally, the assets were merged in After Effects to produce the spot by Eric Bowman.

Given a tight deadline we successfully developed multiple 2D and 3D concepts for Nike’s Pro Combat apparel line. Our work helped W K define a look and character for the Pro Combat brand. Soon after, David Fincher directed the national broadcast spot titled “NIKE Pro Combat: Trail of Destruction (Alter Ego).”.
