You are here: . The Day's activities begin at 12.00 with the arrival of the Chieftain's barge at Culag Pier. The Chieftain's party is led by a Pipe band in a colourful procession onto the Field. Once the Games are officially opened by the Chieftain, competitions then generally start at 12.45. As well as watching the sporting events on the field and the other displays that take place during the afternoon, visitors are also welcome to participate in a number of fun activities which vary from year to year.
