I see moms (myself included) using our motherhood as an excuse to not study God's Word. I completely understand that you might not have time to sit down in a quiet room with a cup of coffee (especially one that's still hot) and spend an hour studying passages in an exegetical manner. Sunday, July 19, 2015. I do's, birthday fun, and new ventures. How 's your summer been going so far? I just love sleeping in just a little bit later and going on family walks at 8:00 at night! As usual, we've had no problem keeping ourselves busy. Here's what we've been up to. At the end of June we flew to Dallas, TX for Adam's brother's wedding. There are 6 boys in his family. Four are now married - only two to go! The wedding was at a venue called the Cotton Mill and it was just absolutely stunning!

Thursday, July 9, 2015. When God's story is {more than} enough. Things have been quiet here at the blog for a while now. I could blame it on motherhood, ministry, or decluttering my basement and all of those would be true. I was struck today, however, with another, deeper reason why I have had writer's block since Spring. This self-focused viewpoint then quickly spills over into jealousy and discontentment. I wish I had her crafting ability! I'll never be able to teach like her! I couldn't be more wrong!

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. A music recommendation for you. Our family LOVES music! It's rare for music of some sort to be playing as soon as we start the car. Both of our boys listen to CD's as they fall asleep. Sometimes I find my oldest putting on one of their favorites to listen to while they play puzzles and super heroes. It's amazing how much sinks into little brains, and even music in the background can play a huge role in their understanding of doctrine, God, and the gospel. CD a couple of weeks ago.
