Friday, 20 March 2009. Next week is Spring break! Will be bringing the kids and Nicole to Hoi An. Our first holiday within Vietnam. Hope the weather holds! Wednesday, 18 March 2009. Both Nat and Ian are down with a flu bug. Nat has cleared her fever phase but Ian is in the midst of his fever phase. Around 38 plus degrees and no appetite. Sunday, 30 May 2010. It is a hot Summer day in Hanoi. And they cut our electricity as part of the plan to "save" electricity because consumption was way too high for the city to maintain. Wednesday, 20 July 2011. Had to cut Pooch's walking time last night after two dogs (unleashed and unaccompanied by their owners) were running around Ciputra last night. Pooch was going crazy and it took all my strength to hold her back. I think people who cannot even walk their dogs and simply letting them run free are irresponsible and should not be allowed to keep dogs as pets. Terrible. Sunday, 19 June 2011. Goodbye Hanoi for the Family. After almost four and a half years, my family left for home. Mum, I suspect, may be the most affected as she had settled well into life in Vietnam. She enjoyed the trips to the market and the visits to the countryside.
