Life in the Golden State. Monday, January 30, 2006. My weekend went well. On Friday, my sister picked me up from the airport with both Faolan and Kieran in tow. We had lunch at El Torrito, chased a few birds in the parking lot, painted some pottery for Mommy and Daddy, and went to Lord's (Loard's? I start work today at Grandma Nancy's office. Life in the Golden State. Friday, May 27, 2005. Bank of America sucks. Why should I have to start to pay for my checking again? I won't have direct deposit for a while, so I'll be billed $5-$9/month. Why? I have absolutely free checking at Bank of the West! I think I may have signed up while they had some sort of promotion where I get this until 2050 or something like that. Bummer. Saturday, February 15, 2014. My Mac is Working! All is right with the world! Yay, I love my Mac. Please don't die. Please don't freeze my mouse ever again. S and I are listening to Brandi Carlile and working on our respective 'puters. She's got me taking raw garlic to fight my throat congestion. Hm. You take it by spoonful and wash it (very quickly) down with water. Seems to work a bit. I'll probably keep it up. It's not too bad if you wash it quickly down with water. I bought a quart of eggnog before Christmas. we never did open it, so just before the "best by" date on the carton, i decided to make ice cream with it. i just poured the whole thing in the ice cream maker, added a pinch of nutmeg and a coupla pinches of cardamom. Get in my belly! Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Another thin crust pizza. He's also not fond of eggplant. And when it comes to pizza, he likes the traditional red sauce and does not like all the other stuff, eg white-garlic or pesto sauce. He was out for a meeting monday night, so i decided to put all of the above into one pizza! A friend of ours gave us a bag of mushrooms. i don't know what kind. I just chopped it up then slightly sauteed with oil, salt, pepper. Oh ya, cheese! Oranges from the backyard.
