My name is Astrid Hughes. I am currently a 3rd year Education student with the University of Southern Queensland. As well as studying full time, I also work full time and like to try and exercise as much as possible. Some might say that I have bitten off more than I can chew, but I say who are they to tell me what I can and cannot handle! I was born and raised in a small town in Western Queensland, until I was moved to the Sunshine Coast for school. I cannot wait for the day I call the West home again.

Cold and Flu… Knock on Wood. I have adopted a few habits to prevent myself from getting sick this year…. I have been taken multi-vitamins to build my immune system (after consulting a pharmacist. I have purchased some handbag sized bottles to have with me when I am on prac. I have a water bottle which I am taking with me everywhere to make sure I am drinking enough water. I hadn’t thought to use the addition mat I made in EDX1280 but will definitely be getting it out of storage and taking it in on Monday and seeing if my mentor sees it as appropriate.
