At least, that is what we say to convince ourselves from time to time, when the sky is grey, or cloudless blue for that matter, or the heavens have opened and it is pouring down. Your Custom Text Here. Patience is a Virtue! March 22, 2015. Not too impressive, I admit, but the breaks in the clouds became more frequent as time went on. And only an elderly lady and I were left on the hilltop to enjoy it! The breaks in the clouds still left the sun lightly covered so we were watching proceedings without eye cover - filter and glasses for my camera and me, ipad and pinhole cardboard for her. Patience, patience and patience again. It's not over until it's over! Larr; Look Up!

Your Custom Text Here. November 6, 2015. After a very busy few months, it was so good to be out making photographs for a few days in a row, a couple of weeks ago in the Lake District. Dramatic light on Derwentwater. Commissions often bring a variety of challenges, and rising up to them kept me busy earlier this year, when I produced work in the field of product/stills photography, something I had never done before. I also enjoyed trying my hand at producing a short video about the Mistresses of Light.

Last Saturday, around 70 photographers descended on the Mall Galleries in London to hang panels of their images, as part of the Light and Land on the Mall exhibition. The result is an extraordinary photographic exhibition worth visiting, if you are in London these days. It is running until 10 August 2015. He posted it in 2012, and when I read it first, I was agonising about whether I should push ahead with my first book project. A million unanswered questions went through my head at the time. Your Custom Text Here. February 12, 2015. I spent some time in West Sussex, exploring the coastline with its wave breakers. I have much to learn about tides and the weather and how they interact. Having hoped that the high tide would make for some crashing wave pictures, I was left disappointed. The sea was calm, the sky was bland and I was left wondering how I could translate this into a photograph. The fine texture effectively mirrored the patterns in the sea. There is no such thing as bad weather!
