CRATES is an 8.4 GHz survey of bright, flat-spectrum radio sources with nearly uniform extragalactic coverage for sources brighter than 65 mJy at 4.8 GHz. We have assembled the catalog from existing observations, especially CLASS. And the PMN-CA survey. Augmented by reprocessing of archival VLA. Data and by new observations to fill in coverage gaps. The resulting catalog provides precise positions, sub-arcsecond structures, and spectral indices for over 11,000 sources. The CRATES team is: Steve Healey.

Filling in the Gaps in the 4.85 GHz Sky. What's all this, then? We have conducted a 4.85 GHz survey of bright, flat-spectrum radio sources with the Effelsberg 100 m telescope in an attempt to improve the completeness of existing surveys, such as CRATES. We report the results of these observations and of follow-up 8.4 GHz observations with the VLA of a subset of the sample. We comment on the connection to the WMAP. Point source catalogue and on the survey's effectiveness at supplementing the CRATES.

CGRaBS is a uniform, all-sky survey of bright blazars selected primarily by their flat radio spectra. The result is a catalog of 1,625 targets with radio and X-ray properties similar to those of the EGRET. Blazars. The chief component of the project is an optical campaign to secure type classifications and redshifts, with the goal of focusing attention on the most interesting sources for multiwavelength study in the GLAST.
