The Horsehead IC 434

https://www.astroimage.photography/the-horsehead-ic-434.html

The Horsehead IC 434. The Horsehead IC 434. The red or pinkish glow originates from hydrogen gas predominately behind the nebula, ionized by the nearby bright star Sigma Orionis. Magnetic fields channel the gases leaving the nebula into streams, shown as streaks in the background glow. A glowing strip of hydrogen gas marks the edge of the massive cloud and the densities of stars are noticeably different on either side. My Celestron C11 was used with Hyperstar III lens attached to my Canon T2i Full Spectr...

The North American below and The Pelican Nebula above are depicted in this frame. The entire emission nebula extends across the sky 4 degrees , which is at a distance of 1,900 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. The large gap between the 2 nebula is known as LDN 935. The dark nebula lies at the front of the North American nebula and it blocks the light behind it. The Helix Nebula imaged from The Chiefland Star Party on 111115 from 8 2 minute subexposures at ISO 400 with a Hutech Canon 6D camera.

The Horsehead IC 434. The Horsehead IC 434. This will be my trusted friend for remote imaging in New Mexico using the Takahashi 106-ED 106, with the QSI- 683 ccd camera and the Paramount Mty Mount as a solid performer. I had seen this mount work right next to me at the Florida Star Party and was very impressed with its performance and reliability. Planewave 24 inch Astrograph.

The Horsehead IC 434. The Horsehead IC 434. M29 Open Globular Cluster located in the constellation Cygnus at a distance between 4,000 to 7,000 light years away near the star Sadr which the central star in Cygnus. Its age is estimated to be 10 million years old. This was imaged with my Huetch Canon 6D camera from just 3 exposures of 55 seconds each at ISO 800 at F 6.3 1600mm. Located in the constellation Auriga a companion cluster is 33' from M38 which is NGC 1907 its size is 7' with a magnitude of 8.2.

Don Curry : About

The Horsehead IC 434. I have decided in the best interest of my health and security to remote image from now on using Deep Sky West for my imaging needs. This equipment that is used are depicted in my equipment page. The Horsehead IC 434. With IC 1318, NGC 6888, NGC 6881 and NGC 6874. Update: Since purchasing my new Huetch Canon 6D camera, due to its sensitivity I have stopped imaging with my hyperstar for now and I'm primarily imaging at F10 2800mm and F6.3 1600mm with my Celestron C11. I will be postin...

Sharing the beauty of the universe! Jan 23, 2015. Well after a year of not imaging, I’m finally back in the saddle. It is amazing how much I have forgotten! This was shot using my new mount. Focus was giving me fits, as I’m trying to learn the new software controls. But you know what…I caught a comet! This object is also easily visible with a pair of binoculars right now, just a field of view east of the Pleiades. Enjoy! Comet Lovejoy on January 19th, 2015. View all posts by vitozilla.

The Paramount MyT and TSX have greatly eased my frustration with polar alignment, and the camera add on for TSX makes the whole package just work…no fussing around…just imaging! For those questioning polar alignment without a polar scope with this mount, just get over it…it […]. Chiefland Star Party 2015.
