With Praise and Thanksgiving: December 2016
http://astrukel.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
With Praise and Thanksgiving. My personal online gratitude journal! Saturday, December 31, 2016. Day 366: DEC 31 WE MADE IT! This has been sitting in draft since Saturday and I forgot to publish it! It was a leap year so there's actually 366. I can't believe it! I know I fell woefully behind on gratitude posts at some points throughout the year, but I made it! For the few who have been with me since the beginning, thank you! We'll see where the new year takes us. Day 365: Gifts Are My Love Language.
With Praise and Thanksgiving: Day 358: My 2017 Reading Goals
http://astrukel.blogspot.com/2016/12/day-358-my-2017-reading-goals.html
With Praise and Thanksgiving. My personal online gratitude journal! Friday, December 23, 2016. Day 358: My 2017 Reading Goals. These are the only ones I actually have in my possession. And semi-committed to them by writing them in my planner. In pencil. I haven't included any audio books, but I have a large Audible wishlist and I'm sure I could find some from my list on audio book at the library. Without further ado, here are my book goals for 2017:. The Family That Overtook Christ. This book just came o...
With Praise and Thanksgiving: July 2016
http://astrukel.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
With Praise and Thanksgiving. My personal online gratitude journal! Sunday, July 31, 2016. After almost a year without one, I got a new Fitbit this week! My mom got me my first one which I used well for a year and a half before losing it last summer. It's silly that I need a little step counter in my pocket to get me off my keester, but I do. I love seeing steps add up and challenging myself (even if my "goal" is just to be average). Dad 212: Saturday Schmaturday. Saturday, July 30, 2016. It's only withi...
With Praise and Thanksgiving: November 2016
http://astrukel.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
With Praise and Thanksgiving. My personal online gratitude journal! Wednesday, November 30, 2016. We had kind of a crappy day here and I'm tired. At the risk of falling woefully behind in my "daily" posts, I'm not going to publish any of the weekend drafts. Tonight I'm grateful that readership on ye olde blog is low. Forgive me reader, but I'm going to try to keep my eyes open for a chapter of Little Women. And throw in the towel on this three hundred and thirty fifth day. Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
With Praise and Thanksgiving: October 2016
http://astrukel.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
With Praise and Thanksgiving. My personal online gratitude journal! Monday, October 31, 2016. Day 304: You Have Dignity Because You Belong To God. We let our ability to do things speak to our dignity. You are not valuable because you do things. You are not valuable because you look good or because you have a charming personality or because you have been successful at work. You have dignity because you belong to God. The Reverend Brian Larkin, Homily for 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time, October 23, 2016.

This space intentionally left blank. Monthly Archives: May 2015. Warning: contains disturbing images. I have not posted in the RPD Blotter since the weekend before school started. This is not a coincidence. School–sucks you dry, I tell you. But with only a week left, and an excellent summer approaching, I can pause between submitting my $350 worth of requisitions and entering third trimester grades into Power School* to tell you I’ve discovered the source of nightmares. I have been to that place. It has ...

This space intentionally left blank. Monthly Archives: July 2015. Why did Constantinople get the works? That’s nobody’s business but the Turks’. My first impression of Istanbul, besides its enormity, was the generous use of car horns. Turks beep at every opportunity– delighted with this vehicular amenity. Mini-buses gave a gleeful. As they swerved in front of bus shelters. “Here I am! 8221; Bigger city buses honked as they merged into traffic. “Make room or get side-swiped! 8221; A legitimate question.
